Many new students have enrolled in Waxahachie High School this year. Whether you’ve just arrived to the area or switched schools, starting fresh can always be a little nerve-racking. Being a new student myself, I can relate to the struggles that numerous teens are facing.

When asked what her biggest challenge was at WHS, new student Haliey Vaughn said, “The long class periods and crowded hallways”.

Learning the ways of the school and making new friends is overwhelming enough as it is on top of getting used to a new curriculum as well. If you’re a Waxahachie native or have been here a while, you may want to make it a point to be a friendly face to new students and include us too.
