Indians come from behind, beat Jaguars

The Waxahachie Indians capped off their most recent road trip on Tuesday night at Mansfield Summit High School with a much-needed win, as they managed to triumph over the hometown Jaguars by a score of 3-2.

The Tribe would strike early, scoring in the top of the first on an error by Sebastian Reyes. However, Summit would take a 2-1 lead on back-to-back wild pitches by Indian starter Aaron Tesei.

Waxahachie would, after leaving a runner at third base in the 6th, eventually bring around two more runs in the 7th on a fielder’s choice and another errant throw. The Jaguars would finish the night with 5 total errors.

Waxahachie (13-10-1, 7-4 in District 7-6A) returns home to complete the series with Mansfield Summit (4-18, 2-9) on Thursday, with first pitch scheduled for 7 PM. The game can be heard on KBEC 1390 AM/99.1 FM and online at kbec.com.
