The varsity football team kicks off the 2022-2023 year with a perfect 4-0. Players all around have been practicing hard, and it has been paying off. Football player, Benjamin Zavala informs us on how his season has started off.

“Being in football is a lot of work, but working hard to win games pays off in the end. This year has been different due to the people,” Zavala says, “Practicing before and after school has been helping us this year, and now we’re 4-0 so we’re doing something right”.

Additionally, football player Jaxen Robinson tells his opinion. “It’s a lot of hard work with practicing and lifting, but it’s worth it when I get to see the scores on the board and wins,” Robinson says.

All of our players are excited about the start of their season, especially this years seniors. Seniors having their last year at Waxahachie High School with a winning streak would leave a mark. Our 4-0 winning streak has just started, but how much time both the team and the coaches work hard together, we hopefully we could double that winning streak.
