Volleyball wraps up their season

On Nov. 11, the varsity volleyball team lost 16-14 to the Woodlands, wrapping up their season as undefeated District Champs.

This year the team progressed past round two of playoffs for the first time since 2018.

“I have loved every single moment with the girls and coaches,” senior Mia Sanchez said. “We made history and I’m ultimately so proud of all of them.”

The team practices all year round in preparation for the season, hoping to get to the playoffs.

“Our team earned everything we have worked for for months with the intention of making it to the playoffs,” senior Savannah Johnson said. “No matter the person or role they played our team wouldn’t be the same, and I think that’s what was so special is that we all supported each other.”

The girls have broken multiple records and achieved personal goals this season.

“The season has been a season of growth and development,” junior Tionna Owens said. “The hard work we have put in each day at practice has enabled us to exceed expectations and do it while having fun.”
