Bella Curiel

Driving down HWY. 77 and singing to her favorite songs with her best friends, senior Bella Curiel revels in her last year as a student at WHS. She is a girl with big dreams, and she has only touched the surface of what she plans to achieve. Curiel is a four-year starter for the women’s varsity soccer team. In her final year as an Indian, she was voted by her teammates to be captain.

“I’ve always seen the captains lead the program, and they have inspired me to be better,” Curiel said. “This year I hope to make the same impact on others.”

Curiel is also involved in the cosmetology classes and plans to finish high school with her license. She wants to work in a salon throughout college.

“I love doing hair, make-up, and nails,” Curiel said. “I like being able to use what we’ve learned when we bring in other people or work on each other.”

After high school, she plans to get a scholarship to play soccer in college and study to be a psychiatrist.

“I love soccer and will continue to play for as long as I can,” Curiel said. “I wanted to do something in the medical field because I love Grey’s Anatomy.”

Curiel wants to be an inspiration to kids younger than her. She never stops until she has met the goal she has set.

“I want to leave my mark and be remembered at WHS,” Curiel said. “I want to set myself up to have a good life, and hopefully I can make other’s lives better at the same time.”
